Avoiding Allergies Home

In addition to pollen, many people are allergic to dust and mold. Often, the air inside homes is dirtier than the outside. Exposure to dirty air may trigger asthma attacks or allergies, so our house could literally make us sick. Fortunately, there are several steps you can take to prevent and relieve allergies
* Carpets and rugs: Getting rid of the carpets that make the room warm and welcoming it, but they are a source of allergens. Dust mites, mold and pollen accumulate in carpet fibers and all can cause allergies. Vacuum carpets often eases symptoms, but people with severe allergies should consider withdrawing them and replace them with parquet or wooden flooring, tile, linoleum, etc.
* Limiting the number of cleaning and home textiles: carpets and rugs at home also helps. All household textiles should be washable and durable. Allergens tend to accumulate in soft tissues and curly. Minimize upholstered furniture fabrics, and use leather, vinyl or wood.
* Install blinds instead of curtains: dust and dirt also tend to accumulate in the curtains, blinds and window shades are washable a much better option. Should choose a cotton or synthetic fabric that can be removed and put in the washer. To kill the mites, wash frequently and textiles in hot water.
* Reconsider the ventilation and heating systems: to turn the air conditioner or heater may leave dust particles. Air conditioning systems are particularly useful in summer to prevent pollen from home through the windows, in addition, the mites do not survive in a cold environment. * Keep the rooms, drawers and cabinets tidy and avoid the accumulation of things: generate dust accumulating things, so they should get rid of old books, magazines and toys for children who are no longer used.
